Larkin Architect Limited was retained to renovate the interior of this iconic National Historic Site acclaimed for being an exemplary representative of High Victorian, French Gothic Revival style. Our approach was guided by respect for the parish’s desire to maintain the rich Catholic Tradition, heritage, and familiarity of their historic church while providing for the needs of an active, living parish well into the future. Non-gothic revival elements were transformed to better represent the building’s style and the main architectural elements such as the nave arches, triforium walls, and side-aisle windows were reinforced to create a cohesive, historically consistent environment. Lighting upgrades, new floor finishes, and restored pews contribute to the overall interior enhancement.
